This California Privacy Disclosure provides specific information required under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA), as amended and expanded by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA), both of which became fully effective on January 1, 2023, with the CPRA amendments taking effect on January 1, 2023. This disclosure applies exclusively to California residents and supplements the information contained in our general Privacy Policy. If you are not a California resident, this disclosure does not apply to you.
SUPLINK TECH CORP is a business that sells garage door parts and accessories through our website bestgaragedoorparts.com. We are a "business" as defined under the CCPA because we collect personal information from California residents and determine the purposes and means of processing that information.
As a business subject to the CCPA and CPRA, we are required to provide California residents with specific disclosures about how we collect, use, disclose, sell, share, and protect their personal information, as well as the rights California residents have over their personal information.
This California Privacy Disclosure was last updated on April 30, 2026. We review and update this disclosure at least once every 12 months, or more frequently if our data practices change materially.

We collect personal information from the following sources, as described in our full Privacy Policy:
When you create an account, place an order, fill out a form, contact us, subscribe to our newsletter, submit a review, or interact with any feature on our website.
Through cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, and similar tracking technologies when you browse our website, view products, add items to your cart, and navigate between pages.
From payment processors (Shopify Payments, PayPal), shipping carriers (FedEx), analytics providers (Google Analytics), and advertising platforms (Google Ads, Meta) that provide us with data to support our business operations.
We collect and use your personal information for the following business purposes as defined under the CCPA and CPRA:
Completing transactions and fulfilling orders: Processing payments, shipping products, providing order confirmations, sending tracking information, and processing returns and refunds.
Providing customer service: Responding to inquiries, resolving disputes, providing technical support, and processing return and refund requests.
Website improvement and analytics: Analyzing website traffic, understanding user behavior, identifying popular products, diagnosing technical problems, and improving website functionality and user experience.
Marketing and advertising: Sending promotional emails to opted-in subscribers, delivering targeted advertisements, measuring advertising campaign effectiveness, and retargeting visitors who viewed products.
Security and fraud prevention: Detecting, preventing, and investigating fraudulent activity, unauthorized transactions, and security threats to protect our customers and our business.
Legal compliance: Complying with applicable laws, regulations, tax obligations, legal processes, and enforceable governmental requests.
Auditing and internal analytics: Auditing interactions with consumers, counting ad impressions, and analyzing the effectiveness of our website and services.
We disclose personal information to the following categories of third parties for the business purposes described in Section 04 above:
Service Providers
Companies that perform services on our behalf, including payment processing (Shopify Payments, PayPal), shipping and delivery (FedEx), email communication, website hosting, and customer support tools. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the specific services they provide to us and not for any other purpose.
Advertising and Analytics Partners
Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads), Meta (Facebook Pixel), and other advertising networks that help us deliver targeted advertisements and measure campaign performance. Please see Section 06 regarding whether this constitutes a "sale" or "sharing" under the CPRA.
Legal and Regulatory Authorities
Government agencies, courts, law enforcement, or other authorities when required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Business Transfers
In connection with a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of our business assets, your personal information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. You will be notified of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
Under the CCPA and CPRA, the terms "sale" and "sharing" have specific legal meanings:
Sale of Personal Information
A "sale" under the CCPA is defined as disclosing personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration. We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. We have never sold personal information to third parties for money.
Sharing for Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising
Under the CPRA, "sharing" means making personal information available to third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes, even if no money changes hands. We use third-party advertising services (Google Ads and Meta) that may receive identifiers such as IP addresses, device information, and browsing behavior from our website. These advertising partners use that information to deliver targeted advertisements to you on other websites and platforms. This activity may be considered "sharing" under the CPRA, and you have the right to opt out.
The categories of personal information that may be shared for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes include:
Identifiers (IP address, hashed email addresses, device identifiers)
Internet or electronic network activity (browsing history, pages viewed, products searched, click patterns)
Inferences drawn from browsing behavior and purchase history
You have the right to opt out of this sharing at any time. Please see Section 13 and the request form in Section 23 of this disclosure, or visit our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
Under the CPRA, sensitive personal information includes Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account credentials, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, biometric data, health data, and the contents of communications (except when we are the intended recipient).
We do not collect any categories of sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA for the purpose of inferring characteristics about consumers. While our payment processors handle payment card data (which could be considered financial information), this data is processed entirely by PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant third parties and is never transmitted to, stored on, or accessible by our servers.
Because we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes of inferring consumer characteristics, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information as provided under Section 1798.121 of the California Civil Code is not applicable to our current data practices. However, you may still exercise this right by contacting us, and we will confirm our position in writing.
As required by the CPRA, we disclose the following data retention periods for each category of personal information we collect:
Identifiers and Customer Records: Retained for as long as the customer account is active, or for 7 years after the most recent transaction if no account is created, to comply with tax, accounting, and legal requirements.
Commercial Information: Retained for 7 years from the date of the transaction to comply with recordkeeping requirements.
Internet and Network Activity: Automatically collected browsing and usage data is retained in identifiable form for 26 months, after which it is anonymized and aggregated.
Customer Support Communications: Retained for 3 years from the date of the last communication.
Marketing Consent Records: Retained for as long as the subscriber is active. After unsubscribing, the email address is retained on a suppression list indefinitely to prevent re-marketing.
Inferences: Retained for the same period as the underlying data from which they are derived.
As a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA grant you the following rights over your personal information. Each right is explained in detail in the sections that follow.
Right to Know
Request what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell about you.
Right to Delete
Request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
Right to Correct
Request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing
Direct us not to sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Information
Direct us to limit the use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information.
Right to Data Portability
Request a copy of your personal information in a readily usable, portable format.
Right to Non-Discrimination
Not be discriminated against for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA privacy rights.
Right to Appeal
Appeal our decision if we deny your privacy request. See Section 22 for details.
You have the right to request that we disclose certain information about our collection, use, disclosure, and sale of your personal information over the twelve (12) months preceding your request. Specifically, you may request that we disclose:
The categories of personal information we have collected about you
The categories of sources from which we collected your personal information
The business or commercial purposes for which we collected or sold your personal information
The categories of third parties with whom we have disclosed your personal information
The specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you (also known as a data portability request)
You may make a Right to Know request up to two (2) times in a 12-month period. We will respond to your request within 45 calendar days of receiving it, with the option to extend by an additional 45 calendar days if reasonably necessary, in which case we will notify you of the extension within the initial 45-day period.
You have the right to request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you. Once we receive and verify your request, we will delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your personal information from our records, unless an exception under the CCPA/CPRA applies.
We may retain your information when deletion is required for any of the following purposes:
Complete the transaction for which the personal information was collected, provide a good or service requested, or perform a contract with you
Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities
Debug products to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality
Comply with a legal obligation, including retaining records required by federal, state, or local law (such as tax records required for 7 years under IRS regulations)
Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws
Under the CPRA, you have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate personal information we maintain about you. Upon receiving your request and verifying your identity, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to correct the inaccurate information as directed.
If we are unable to correct the information as requested (for example, because the information is factually accurate or because the information is used for a legal purpose), we will provide you with a written explanation of why we cannot make the correction and the basis for our determination.
Where appropriate, we will also direct our service providers to correct the inaccurate information on our behalf.
You have the right to direct us not to sell your personal information to third parties and not to share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. As explained in Section 06, we may share certain identifiers and internet activity data with our advertising partners for targeted advertising purposes, which may constitute "sharing" under the CPRA.
You can opt out of this sharing by using any of the following methods:
Method 1: Dedicated Opt-Out Page
Visit our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page and submit your request.
Method 2: Email Us
Send an email to info@bestgaragedoorparts.com with the subject line "Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing."
Method 3: Call Us
Call +1 386-569-8223 during business hours and request to be opted out.
Method 4: Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we will treat it as a valid opt-out request.
Once we receive your opt-out request, we will process it within 15 business days. We will also ensure that our service providers and advertising partners honor your opt-out preference. After you have opted out, we will not sell or share your personal information unless you subsequently provide us with explicit opt-in authorization.
Under the CPRA, you have the right to limit the use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information to that use which is necessary to perform the services or provide the goods reasonably expected by an average consumer.
As stated in Section 07, we do not currently collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes of inferring characteristics about consumers.
If our data practices change in the future and we begin collecting or using sensitive personal information in a manner that triggers the right to limit, we will update this disclosure and provide you with a clear mechanism to exercise your right at that time.
You have the right to request a copy of the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format (such as a CSV file or JSON file). This is sometimes referred to as a "data portability" request.
When you request data portability, we will provide the personal information we have collected about you in a format that you can transmit to another entity. The information will be organized by the categories described in Section 02 above.
You may submit a data portability request as part of a Right to Know request (see Section 10) or as a standalone request by contacting us through any of the methods described in Section 24.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under the CCPA and CPRA. Specifically, if you exercise your privacy rights, we will not:
Deny you goods or services
Charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, including through the use of discounts, benefits, or penalties
Provide a different level or quality of goods or services
Suggest that you will receive a different price, rate, level, or quality of goods or services
We may offer financial incentives (such as discounts or loyalty rewards) for the collection, sale, or retention of personal information. If we do, you will be notified and given the opportunity to opt in before enrollment. You may withdraw from any financial incentive at any time. Please see Section 17 for details.
At this time, we do not offer any financial incentive programs, loyalty programs, or price differences based on the collection, sale, or retention of personal information. We do not provide different prices, rates, discounts, or quality of goods or services to consumers who exercise their CCPA/CPRA rights.
If we introduce a financial incentive program in the future, we will update this disclosure to include: (a) a description of the program, (b) the material terms of the program, (c) how you can opt in, (d) how you can opt out or withdraw at any time, and (e) our good-faith estimate of the value of your personal information to the business as required by the CPRA.
To protect your privacy and security, we must verify your identity before processing any privacy request. We use a reasonable security-based verification process that is proportionate to the sensitivity of the information requested.
For account holders: We will verify your identity by confirming information that matches what is associated with your account, such as your full name, email address, and recent order details.
For non-account holders (guest checkout customers): We will verify your identity by confirming information associated with your purchase, such as your full name, email address, order number, and billing or shipping address.
If we are unable to verify your identity with a reasonable degree of certainty, we will either deny the request and explain why we cannot verify your identity, or we may ask for additional information to complete the verification process. We will never ask for sensitive information such as your Social Security number, financial account numbers, or passwords as part of our identity verification process.
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a CCPA/CPRA privacy request on your behalf. The authorized agent must provide us with the following:
Written authorization signed by you (the California resident) that clearly designates the agent to act on your behalf for the specific privacy request
Proof of the agent's own identity, which may include a valid government-issued photo ID
If the agent is submitting the request based on a power of attorney under California Probate Code Sections 4121 to 4130, the agent must provide the power of attorney document
If an authorized agent submits a request on your behalf without providing satisfactory proof of authorization, we may deny the request. However, we may contact you directly to verify that the agent has been authorized to act on your behalf before proceeding.
The CCPA requires businesses to disclose metrics regarding the number of consumer requests received, complied with in whole or in part, and denied. The following metrics reflect our activity for the 12-month period preceding the last update of this disclosure:
| Request Type | Received | Fulfilled (Full or Partial) | Denied | Median Days to Respond |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Requests to Know | 0 | 0 | 0 | N/A |
| Requests to Delete | 0 | 0 | 0 | N/A |
| Requests to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing | 0 | 0 | 0 | N/A |
| Requests to Correct | 0 | 0 | 0 | N/A |
| Requests to Limit Use of Sensitive Information | 0 | 0 | 0 | N/A |
We update these metrics annually. The zero values above reflect that we have not received verifiable consumer requests during this reporting period. As our business grows and these metrics change, we will update this table accordingly.
Our website is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we actually know are under 16 years of age, unless the minor (between 13 and 16 years of age) or the minor's parent or guardian has affirmatively authorized the sale or sharing.
We require all customers to be at least 18 years of age to create an account and place an order on our website, as stated in our Terms of Service. This requirement effectively prevents minors under 18 from using our e-commerce services.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a consumer under 16 years of age without the required affirmative authorization, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe a minor under 16 has provided us with personal information without proper authorization, please contact us at info@bestgaragedoorparts.com.
If we deny any of your privacy requests, you have the right to appeal our decision. To submit an appeal:
Submit your appeal in writing to info@bestgaragedoorparts.com within 30 days of receiving our denial, with the subject line: "Privacy Request Appeal."
Include a copy of the original denial notice we sent you and describe why you believe the denial was incorrect or unfounded.
We will review your appeal and respond within 45 calendar days of receiving it. Our response will explain the actions we have taken or will take in response to your appeal, and the basis for our decision.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your appeal, you have the right to contact the California Attorney General's office to file a complaint. The California Attorney General can be reached at oag.ca.gov or by calling 1-800-952-5225.
Use the form below to submit any CCPA/CPRA privacy request. You may request to: know what data we collect, delete your data, correct inaccurate data, opt out of the sale/sharing of your data, or limit the use of your sensitive data.
All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. We will respond to your request within 45 calendar days of receiving it and verifying your identity.
After you submit this form, we will send a confirmation email to the address you provided. We will then verify your identity within 10 business days and respond to your request within 45 calendar days. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours, please check your spam folder or contact us directly at info@bestgaragedoorparts.com.
