Hinge #6, standard 11 gauge, plain steel. Used between sections 6 and 7 on very tall garage doors. The #6 has a larger offset than the lower numbered hinges so the roller stays in the right position as the door moves through the track. If the old hinge is bent, cracked, or worn out, replace it and match the number stamped on the original hinge. The 11 gauge steel is thicker and stronger than lighter standard residential hinges, so it holds up well on heavy doors and doors that get a lot of use.
