How to Select the Correct Replacement Spring

1) Choose Wind Direction (Left or Right Wind)

Select left wind or right wind based on your existing spring.

Important: Wind direction does not always determine which side of the door the spring installs on—match the winding of your current spring.

2) Determine Wire Size (Measure 10 Coils + 20 Coils)

Measure the length of 10 coils using a tape measure, then verify by measuring 20 coils.
Both measurements should match the same wire size.

• Use a tape measure and measure straight across the coils

• Double-check with both 10-coil and 20-coil measurements
